You have a lot of different choices if you find yourself in need of iPhone repair. You can send it back to the manufacturer, find an authorized repair shop that is local, buy a new one or look for iPhone parts and have it fixed yourself. Sometimes it seems like the easiest way to handle a broken phone is to just get a new one. The problem with this is that there are not a lot of people who can afford to go out and buy a new phone whenever they want. The other problem with this is that you will still have to go through all of the hassle of getting all of your stored information moved from your old phone over to your new phone. Another option that you have is to send the phone back to the manufacturer to fix it. The problem with this option is that is usually takes at least a week and it is pretty costly if something isn't covered under that warranty.

A third option that you have is to find a local business that specializes in fixing iPhones. This is usually a good option, but depending on the problem, it can still be pretty expensive.

One option that a lot of people do not think about initially is to look for parts to make the fix yourself. Clearly there are some repairs that you will not be able to do, but there are many that you should be able to handle thanks to the internet. There are now quite a few do it yourself manuals available online to fix a lot of things you never thought about.

Since there are now so many iPhones on the market, the obvious result of that is that there are a lot of phones available that are broken. That means if you have a cracked screen or you need a new battery, there are a lot of phones out there that have screens and battery's that are perfectly good, even though there may be a problem with another part of the phone. It is going to save you a lot of time and even more money if you can go online to get the information and the part you need and handle the repair yourself. The flip side of using replacement parts is that if your phone breaks beyond the point of your ability of being able to repair it, you might still be able to sell it.

You might try to sell your broken phone on a service like Craigslist, although you will clearly have to indicate what the problem is with it. Another is to check with authorized dealers in your area and see if they will buy the phone from you. They will likely be able to use the parts of the phone that are still good for some of their other repairs. You are clearly not going to get rich selling phones that are broken, but it is better to get something out of it rather than nothing?
