It is true that there are some people who can actually afford to own these homes; otherwise they would not be on the market. However, for most of us, thinking about luxury real estate serves as something to daydream about. The first thing we have to talk about is not actually a trend because it is at the top of everyone's dream list. Houses that are on the water along the beach are always the most popular properties. In fact, these are even usually preferred over a five-star hotel. One of the best features of these types of homes is a private beach. One trend that is relatively recent is to hire a butler to manage the house while you are aware. Then they will handle your other miscellaneous requests when you are in residence.



Another classic trend in high end real estate is looking at penthouse apartments. Housing in most major cities is very hard to find and that is what leads people toward apartments. If you are looking for an apartment, clearly the best option is to pick the one with the best view. This is the penthouse. The view is the best feature of a penthouse. You usually get a great view of the sunrise and sunset and the view during the day can be spectacular. However, the view at night is sometimes even better. You get to see the entire city with all the lights below you, but when you look up, it is nothing but the moon and the stars. Penthouses are also great because they are easier to keep if you do not live there all the time. Many people live in their penthouse during the week while they are working in the city, but on the weekends they travel outside of the city to their real home.



Studios are a trend that has just taken hold over the last few years. These are apartments that you can find in buildings that were not originally built to be an apartment building. Usually, these buildings are very old and have a lot of character and interesting architecture on the outside. Typically, these studios have very high ceilings and feature a lot of open spaces. They are not usually divided up into tiny rooms by a lot of walls. There are rooms within the space, but they are typically much larger than people are used to.



One of the big benefits to the larger room size is that the bathroom is also extra big. In fact, many of these studio spaces have a bathroom that is large enough to hold a Jacuzzi or a hot tub.
